Who Qualifies For Your Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications at the moment are open and will close on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should satisfy the subsequent requirements:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a home that has a combined gross domestic earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined residence earnings isn't going to exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and wish not submit any proof of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from households with combined website R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.
Applicants are reminded to deliver the right Identification Document numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored inside their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are learning or intend to research in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
